MCC drives assurance, durability and savings while streamlining information management with Commvault and AWS

Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) partnered with Commvault and AWS during its migration from a VMware-hosted environment to AWS. MCC needed a native AWS-compatible backup solution to modernize its data infrastructure, ensure business continuity and durability, and do so without increasing costs.

Commvault implemented cloud-based backup, recovery and disaster recovery using Amazon ECS and S3 Glacier, streamlining information management and improving assurance. The solution extended retention from 90 days to six months while cutting backup storage by more than 25% (from 52 TB to under 40 TB), protected all MCC AWS workloads, and delivered strong support experiences.
