JSC August supports business growth with Commvault and Fujitsu

JSC August, one of Russia’s largest chemical and pesticide producers with around 4,000 employees, needed a reliable, SAP HANA–compatible data protection solution to support rapid growth and minimize disruption to manufacturing and ERP operations. Having built its SAP HANA infrastructure from scratch, the company required a flexible, easy-to-use backup system that could handle a changing virtualized environment and protect critical ERP data.

JSC August deployed Fujitsu ETERNUS CS200c appliances running Commvault Complete Data Protection, with Fujitsu assisting on configuration, installation and ongoing support. The solution enabled backups in about 1.5 hours and full SAP HANA restores in under 50 minutes, delivered instant recovery and minimal operational downtime, was quick to deploy, scaled with growing data (additional 32 TB added), and freed IT staff to focus on strategic work.
