Rapid growth and acquisitions left the business with multiple bespoke backup systems and a complex multi‑cloud environment, creating data discovery challenges and growing overhead to protect 100 TB of data across Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint, 150 VMs, Azure, AWS, ERP systems and mixed OS platforms.

Working with Cirrus Networks, IMDEX consolidated backups into a private cloud platform built on Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery, Cisco FlashStack, VMware and Pure Storage, simplifying operations and enabling seamless workload migration between clouds. The new solution restored Office 365 data in hours instead of days, gave full access to VM data, supported 24/7 global operations and is projected to save about A$500,000 in operating costs over five years.
