Commvault Standardises Data Protection, Delivers Maximum Availability and Advanced Data Recovery

Blue Label Telecoms is a Johannesburg‑based provider of virtual distribution and financial services through telecommunications, operating across South Africa, India and Mexico and processing billions of transactions for over 61 million consumers. Faced with multiple remote sites, an aggressive acquisition strategy and mission‑critical production data, the company needed scalable, standardised data protection and disaster‑recovery to ensure maximum availability and minimise costly downtime.

Blue Label implemented Commvault’s virtualised backup, recovery and endpoint protection after a successful PoC and rapid deployment by local partners, going live with backups and replication to an offsite DR site within two months. The solution replaced legacy systems, standardised backup across regions (including a fast rollout in Mexico), simplified onboarding of acquired businesses, improved governance and availability, and enabled a smoother path to cloud‑based protection.
