Case Study: BGC achieves A$150,000 TCO savings and rapid data recovery with Commvault

A Commvault Case Study

Preview of the BGC Case Study

BGC ensures disaster recovery readiness and supports future growth with Commvault

BGC, one of Australia’s largest privately owned home builders and a diversified construction and materials group, faced unreliable, time‑consuming backups across multiple legacy products and platforms (on‑premises, remote sites and SaaS). Restores could take hours or days, required constant verification, and left the business exposed to natural disasters and compliance risks.

Working with partner Lumen IT, BGC deployed Commvault Complete Data Protection on Microsoft Azure to consolidate three legacy solutions into a single platform. The move saved A$150,000 in TCO, improved RTO/RPO by 62%, cut recovery times from hours to minutes, reduced time spent on data management by 10x, and simplified disaster recovery and workload migrations while protecting large assets including 2 PB of data (249 TB after deduplication), Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Oracle Cloud and 500 VMware VMs.
