Alliant Credit Union, a digital-first financial cooperative serving 450,000 members with more than $11 billion in assets, needed to ensure uninterrupted online member services and reduce the time and effort spent managing backups. The systems team sought faster, more reliable recoveries across primary, secondary, and disaster recovery sites and greater confidence in their backup processes.

Alliant deployed Commvault Complete Backup & Recovery with two HyperScale Appliances, IntelliSnap snapshot management, CommServe LiveSync and Commvault Professional Services to protect 1.7 PB of data (with 110 TB replicated). The result: recovery times cut by 90% at the secondary site and 75% at the DR site, the backup window reduced from 30 to 4 hours, RTO for a 120-VM datacenter dropped from 36 to 4 hours, and improved IT efficiency through self-service and single-vendor support.
