Najm, Saudi Arabia’s national accident insurance operator, was facing an existential data-protection challenge as it managed more than 1.7 billion accident images across 1.5PB of infrastructure. After 18 failed attempts with other vendors, Najm turned to Commvault and its cloud backup and recovery, cyber resilience, and Active Directory capabilities to protect mission-critical systems without business interruption.

Commvault unified protection for Najm’s accident data, databases, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and multi-cloud environments, while automating backup workflows through ITSM integration. The results were significant: Najm restored 1.7 billion records during an outage, cut backup and restoration workload from 35% of IT effort to zero, and reduced Active Directory recovery time to under two minutes.
