Case Study: Ink creates an elevated late-night Chinese-American brand with Community Agency

A Community Agency Case Study

Ink launches a bold late-night brand with Community Agency

The customer, a Chinese-American restaurant named Honey Chinese, partnered with the vendor Community Agency to develop a new brand identity. Their challenge was to create an elevated yet approachable brand that captured the fun, soulful energy of late-night dining, avoiding overly high-end or traditional stereotypes while showcasing authenticity and quality.

Community Agency designed a full creative solution, including a neon sign-inspired logo and branded materials like chopsticks and takeout boxes. The strategy used a bold, playful aesthetic with a red and yellow color palette to create a warm, homey, and distinctive brand personality. This approach successfully resulted in a unique, late-night-ready brand identity that stood out from competitors and stayed true to the restaurant's cultural roots.
