EDP transforms its 20,000-square-meter Madrid campus with Commscope

EDP, a global energy company, faced a challenge when creating a new unified campus in Madrid. They needed to integrate diverse Wi-Fi 6, IoT, and conferencing technologies over a single network while ensuring strict security, complete asset documentation, remote management, and seamless mobile coverage. CommScope was chosen to address these demands with their wired and wireless solutions.

CommScope implemented a high-performance SYSTIMAX structured cabling system using Category 6A UTP and OM5 fiber, alongside a DAS for mobile coverage. Their ImVision automated infrastructure management system provided real-time remote monitoring and asset documentation. As a result, EDP's innovative campus became a secure, efficient hub for collaboration with future-ready network infrastructure, supporting up to 1,200 employees under one roof.
