Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust worked to consolidate multiple stand-alone clinical systems into one central digital patient record so clinicians could access patient information quickly at the point of care. Using CommonTime’s low-code mobile app development platform, CommonTime Infinity, the Trust set out to create a secure, mobile-friendly way to bring together PAS, pathology, radiology, document management, and GP summary data.

CommonTime implemented the Hillingdon Care Record (HCR), a mobile patient record with two-way integration to the Trust’s integration engine, giving staff real-time access to encounter histories, documents, diagnostic results, GP records, and end-of-life care plans. The solution improved clinical decision-making and efficiency across departments, supported A&E and palliative care, and enabled the Trust to share over 330,000 patient documents with GPs and raise more than 10,000 alerts to at-risk patients from Jan-May 2016.
