The Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) partnered with CommonPlaces to replace its outdated website and integrate it with a complex external member management system. Their challenge was to migrate existing functionality while adding new features and improving the overall workflow for their nearly 33,000 members, all without disrupting their established processes.

CommonPlaces architected a custom API and interface modules to seamlessly integrate Drupal with the external system, managing membership, profiles, and e-commerce. The solution included a geolocation-based "Find a CRS" tool and a customized Drupal Commerce setup for selling products and memberships. This integration not only streamlined CRS's operations but also enhanced the member experience with new e-learning resources. The project forced a beneficial re-examination of internal workflows, resulting in a more efficient and leaner business operation for the customer.
