Royal Borough of Greenwich - Customer Case Study

The Royal Borough of Greenwich worked with **Commonplace** to address the challenge of improving safety for women and girls across the borough. Using Commonplace’s **Safer Spaces Hub** and community engagement platform, the council sought to gather local insights on public safety concerns and shape a draft Women’s Safety Plan.

**Commonplace** enabled residents to drop pins on a safety heatmap, share why they felt unsafe, and suggest improvements such as better lighting, CCTV, and responses to antisocial behavior. The project reached **6,575 visitors** and generated **1,463 contributions**, engaging **over 1% of the borough’s population**, and helped inform Greenwich’s final Women’s Public Safety Plan alongside further workshops and consultations.
