The London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) faced the challenge of engaging its local community for consultation on new neighborhood plans during COVID-19 lockdowns, when face-to-face events were impossible. To gather meaningful feedback on its Pudding Mill and Bridgewater development, LLDC needed a robust digital solution and partnered with Commonplace to create an online engagement platform.

Commonplace provided a digital consultation site that incorporated 3D visualizations from VU.CITY, allowing locals to view proposals, leave comments, and upvote ideas. This solution successfully empowered the community to shape the development plans. The feedback collected through Commonplace was used to directly inform the design and planning process, including the subsequent outline planning application.
