Guinness Partnership used Commonplace to engage residents of the Northwold Estate in Hackney during an estate redevelopment. They needed to understand how communal areas and facilities could be improved and to keep the community involved and informed throughout the regeneration, so they adopted Commonplace’s online hub and survey mode alongside face-to-face outreach.

Commonplace delivered a single always-on portal with phased consultation pages, a news feature, open commenting and survey mode that allowed paper and event feedback to be uploaded; its dashboard and analytics provided real-time summaries for regular updates. The approach consolidated online and offline input, produced broader and higher-quality resident participation, strengthened trust and relationships, and gave the Guinness Partnership measurable, centralized feedback to inform the redevelopment.
