Oil & Gas Company partnered with Commissum on a flagship joint venture to deliver a web-based asset tracking system for consortium members and their suppliers. The challenge was to securely manage transportation bookings, training and health and safety records, and the global location of personnel and assets while protecting commercially sensitive and personal data across multiple user groups and countries.

Commissum provided early security briefings to the third-party development team, audited development processes, reviewed security design throughout the lifecycle, and carried out factory acceptance, regression, and final site acceptance application and infrastructure security testing. As a result, the consortium gained a common, centrally hosted system that stakeholders could trust for availability, integrity, and confidentiality, enabling more efficient operations and stronger protection of sensitive information.
