A Commissum Case Study
Government Agency, part of a major Whitehall department focused on preventing loss of life and improving safety, needed to connect to a new Shared Services Centre as part of a cost-reduction initiative. To do this, the agency had to achieve accreditation and demonstrate appropriate information security management, so it engaged Commissum for independent CLAS consultancy and accreditation support.
Commissum reviewed the draft risk management and accreditation documents, interviewed key stakeholders, carried out a gap analysis, and advised on an implementation plan. It also helped the agency address missing and deficient controls across physical security, personnel security, protective monitoring, ISMS implementation, third-party access, and RMADS documentation, enabling the agency to progress successfully toward accreditation within tight timescales and improve its operational security posture.
