Preview of the Coca Cola Embonor Case Study

Coca-Cola Embonor launches the first composable commerce site in LATAM

Coca-Cola Embonor, Coca-Cola's authorized bottler and distributor in Chile, faced the challenge of rapidly launching a new direct-to-consumer (D2C) ecommerce channel within just four months. This accelerated timeline was critical to continue serving customers during COVID-19 lockdowns. Their MVP needed to operate in two countries and integrate with their existing systems, all while providing a seamless personalized shopping experience on miCoca-Cola.cl.

To meet this challenge, Commerce Layer was implemented as the commerce engine, forming the heart of a new composable stack that included Contentful and Algolia. This solution provided the robust, API-first foundation needed for market expansion and integration with legacy systems. The results were outstanding, with a 59% increase in conversion rates, a 44% growth in monthly orders, and an 8.5x increase in household reach, successfully setting the platform for ongoing expansion.
