Vehicle Test Centers (V.T.C.s) needed a way to automate the selection of the most appropriate vehicle tester for each inspection. Their goal was to reduce time wasted swapping testers between vehicles, prevent overloads, and standardize how tester expertise, availability, and shift information were managed. Comidor provided a BPM solution using jVTC’s staff and shifts management capabilities.

Comidor implemented automated tester-to-vehicle binding, digital shift scheduling, and structured data capture for staff education, experience, and expertise. The system now selects the “Top of the List” tester based on availability, workload, and time since the last overhaul, helping managers assign inspections more fairly and efficiently. The result was a smoother, more reliable workflow with better workload distribution, easier access via touch screens, and improved reporting and analytics for future planning.
