Part-Time Code Enforcement Officer Keeps Up with Full-Time Demand

The City of Cadiz, KY, a small lake town with growing demands for ordinance enforcement, needed a better way to manage code enforcement after the role moved to the Police Department. Part-time officer Charles Hiter was trying to track cases with Google Earth, OneNote, Word, and Excel, but the process was cumbersome and hard to scale, so the city turned to Comcate for help.

Comcate implemented its code enforcement software, centralizing data, improving reporting, and letting the police chief and administrative staff access and add cases even when Hiter was off duty. The solution helped him work more efficiently in the field, avoid missed cases, and stay organized during time off; it also streamlined routing and documentation, with ordinances and violation notices imported into the system and professional templates created.
