White Bear Mitsubishi, an auto dealer in Minneapolis-St. Paul, faced a major challenge after the Saturn brand was discontinued and the dealership had to reinvent itself as a Mitsubishi retailer. Competing against many established dealerships nearby and trying to build awareness for a lesser-known brand in the Twin Cities market made growth especially difficult. Comcast Spotlight helped address this challenge with targeted advertising support.
Comcast Spotlight implemented a locally focused media plan using both television and online advertising within a 10-15 mile radius of the dealership. TV spots ran across channels such as ESPN, CNN, TLC, and USA, while banner ads appeared on the high-traffic XFINITY.com email sign-in page. The campaign drove a substantial increase in vehicle sales and website traffic, delivered a 6% click-through rate, and helped White Bear Mitsubishi earn numerous regional and national awards for Mitsubishi sales results.
