A Comcast Spotlight Case Study
The Washington State Department of Ecology faced a public awareness challenge in western Washington, where residents in certain areas were at potential risk of soil contamination from a former industrial facility. To help reach homeowners with children in the affected counties, the department partnered with Comcast Spotlight on a targeted local awareness campaign using television and online advertising.
Comcast Spotlight developed a comprehensive solution that included distinct county-specific messaging, video-on-demand, pre-roll video, video banner ads, and educational content about soil testing, contamination prevention, and safe gardening. The campaign generated more than 5,250 video-on-demand views, over 9,800 total click-throughs from digital ads, and more than 2,000 leads, helping the department save over $100,000 in direct mail costs.
