Visit Bend, the tourism organization for Bend, Oregon, needed to attract more visitors to the region and speak to two distinct audiences: “adventurers” looking for outdoor activities and “experience seekers” interested in family-friendly entertainment. To help reach these travelers, Visit Bend worked with Comcast Spotlight using targeted television advertising and Comcast Spotlight’s i+ platform.
Comcast Spotlight created audience-specific campaigns across relevant TV networks and extended the effort with pre-roll video and banner ads on Xfinity.com that linked directly to VisitBend.com and promoted a custom sweepstakes. The campaign delivered strong results for Visit Bend, including a new monthly website record of 108,000 unique visitors, a 37% year-over-year increase in unique visits, Xfinity.com becoming the third-highest referring site, and record room tax collections and lodging occupancy.
