Schuler Shoes, a long-standing Minneapolis-St. Paul retailer with nine stores and a strong e-commerce business, wanted to move beyond seasonal event advertising and better reach a slightly younger audience of women ages 35–49. Working with Comcast Spotlight, the company looked for a way to showcase its broad product selection and expertise in proper footwear fitting.
Comcast Spotlight built a targeted TV and digital campaign using research data to place ads across a mix of popular and niche networks, plus in-banner and pre-roll video on sites like XFINITY.com, FOXNews.com, WatchESPN, and NBCUniversal Digital Entertainment. The results were strong: spring preview event sales rose nearly 11% year over year, total company volume increased 21%, the next campaign phase lifted pairs sold by 43%, and fall preview event sales grew 16.5%, helping deliver Schuler Shoes’ best year in 125 years.
