Rock City of Chattanooga, the operator of Rock City/Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, faced strong competition for visitors and a difficult economic climate. To reach more local “staycation” travelers, the company turned to Comcast Spotlight for a multi-screen marketing campaign that would build awareness and drive traffic to its attractions.
Comcast Spotlight created the “Explore Our Beauty” campaign, combining local TV commercials with banner ads on XFINITY.com and Charter.net and a sweepstakes entry site that also provided attraction information. Running from May through December on family-friendly networks, the campaign resonated with local audiences and helped increase ticket sales by more than 20%.
