Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism partnered with Comcast Spotlight to help attract family vacationers to Pigeon Forge, TN. Since research showed that moms are the primary decision makers for vacation planning, the tourism department needed a way to reach and persuade that key audience to choose Pigeon Forge over other destination options.
Comcast Spotlight built a targeted media campaign focused on moms through TV placements on networks such as ABC Family, Food Network, HGTV, Lifetime, TBS, TNT, and TLC, paired with interactive online advertising on XFINITY.com. The campaign generated an estimated $2.1 million in visitor spending, helped drive a 9% year-over-year increase in annual tourism revenue, produced more than 2,300 leads, and delivered over 500 click-throughs from online ads.
