Hurley Medical Center in Flint, Michigan, needed to position itself as the premier local hospital while also driving more elective procedure business and attendance at educational seminars. Competing against other local hospitals as well as facilities in Detroit and Ann Arbor, the health system turned to Comcast Spotlight and its audience-targeted advertising capabilities to reach adults ages 25–54, especially women, mothers, and household decision makers.

Comcast Spotlight helped Hurley Medical Center use geographically and demographically targeted TV, pre-roll video, and XFINITY.com email sign-in takeovers to promote different service lines and seminar locations. The campaign delivered strong results: Hurley Medical Center grew across all service lines, saw its emergency room post the biggest year-over-year impact, gained market share, and increased attendance for bariatric, joint replacement, and hernia seminars by 50%; more than 50 people attended the joint replacement seminar after seeing TV and/or pre-roll ads.
