Hayward Area Recreation & Park District (H.A.R.D.) needed to build community awareness around its 70th anniversary year and promote a series of programs and events, including its winter activity guide, theater season, and battle of the bands. To reach different audience segments in the Hayward area, H.A.R.D. worked with Comcast Spotlight using targeted TV and digital advertising.
Comcast Spotlight created a geographically focused, multi-screen campaign that combined television across tailored network mixes with digital placements such as XFINITY.com static and in-banner video ads, pre-roll video, and geo-targeting. By adjusting the media mix for each initiative and audience, Comcast Spotlight helped H.A.R.D. drive increased event attendance and website traffic, with residents also reporting they learned about the programs through the ads and the website.
