Elmer’s, a regional restaurant chain based in Portland-Eugene, wanted to grow beyond its long-time core audience of diners aged 50 and over and attract customers 35 and up after years of relying on print advertising. To address this challenge, the company partnered with Comcast Spotlight for a multi-screen marketing approach.
Comcast Spotlight created a campaign that combined TV placements on networks like Food Network, Discovery, Animal Planet, Pac-12 football, and seasonal family programming with online static and in-banner video ads on XFINITY.com and its i+ platform. The campaign helped Elmer’s reverse a decade of declining sales, delivering an overall sales increase of 5% and outperforming competitors.
