Doctors Express Urgent Care, a new franchise location in Newark, CA, was struggling to attract patients because its site lacked strong visibility. As the first Bay Area location of the national chain, the practice was on the verge of closing and needed a way to build awareness quickly.
Comcast Spotlight worked with Doctors Express on a multi-screen marketing campaign that combined TV advertising with online ads linked to the practice’s website, featuring the “Sammy the Stethoscope” mascot in commercials. The effort drove measurable results: by the end of nine months, 269 patients said they learned about the practice through television and more than 900 said they found it online.
