Diablo Subaru of Walnut Creek worked to protect its share of local auto sales while promoting a series of messages around “better,” “new,” “now” and “next.” The dealership wanted a consistent, positive campaign that highlighted improvements like Saturday service hours and expanded inventory, and it turned to Comcast Spotlight for local advertising support.
Comcast Spotlight helped Diablo Subaru piggyback on Subaru’s national advertising by running spots on the same networks, adding local dealership tags to national Subaru creative, and extending reach with sports programming and XFINITY.com advertising. The campaign also used data to expand territory and target competitive areas, driving strong results: average monthly sales rose 10% in the first half of the year and 40% in the second half, share of sales in the primary zone increased 20%, and the dealership climbed from 8th–11th place to #4 in the market.
