Denver Art Museum needed to drive ticket sales for its limited-engagement 12-week Van Gogh exhibit, especially as a major cultural attraction in Denver. The museum worked with Comcast Spotlight on a multi-screen advertising campaign that used television and online media to reach art and museum enthusiasts.
Comcast Spotlight implemented a strategy that combined Xfinity.com homepage and sign-in page takeovers, online banner/video ads, and TV spots on networks like Bravo, Discovery, Food Network, HGTV, History, and The Weather Channel, plus a Black Friday takeover and promotional offers for Comcast customers. The campaign delivered strong results: in-banner video generated 1,122 website visitors, the takeover earned 666 clicks, 2,077 Comcast discounts were redeemed, and nearly 64% of visitors purchased tickets online, with more than 60% of early buyers purchasing tickets in the first four weeks—a record for the exhibit.
