Cold Stone Creamery, a restaurant chain with 70 northern California locations, wanted to increase sales of ice cream and ice cream cakes in the Sacramento, San Francisco, and Central Valley markets. To help reach this goal, Comcast Spotlight used targeted local advertising to connect with the brand’s key audiences, including women ages 18-54 and children.

Comcast Spotlight built a media plan that combined TV placements on networks like ABC Family, Bravo, Cartoon Network, HGTV, Lifetime, OWN, Oxygen, and TNT with digital pre-roll, in-banner video, static banner, and roadblock ads on XFINITY.com. The vivid, highly targeted creative drove strong results: same-store sales rose 8.5% and traffic increased by an average of 85 customers per week, the largest gains Cold Stone saw anywhere in the country.
