City Steam Brewery Cafe, a large microbrew pub and comedy club in Hartford, Connecticut, needed a better way to reach its varied audiences—from diners and families to happy-hour guests and comedy fans—and drive more visits to its comedy page and shows. Comcast Spotlight helped address this challenge with a multi-screen advertising approach using targeted television and online advertising.
Comcast Spotlight placed TV ads on channels aligned with key audiences such as ESPN, Comedy Central, Travel Channel, Food Network, and Bravo, while segmented online ads delivered tailored content for different groups. The campaign generated approximately 800 full-price comedy admissions per month, increased website visits 8.16% year over year and unique visitors 9.56%, and produced more than 422,000 online impressions and 17,598 online video views.
