A Comcast Spotlight Case Study
The City of Joliet partnered with Comcast Spotlight to boost summer tourism across Joliet, Illinois, on behalf of the Heritage Corridor Convention & Visitors Bureau and the I&M Canal National Heritage Corridor. Their challenge was to reach both local and out-of-area consumers with timely information about attractions, lodging, dining, and events.
Comcast Spotlight delivered a multi-channel campaign that combined television ads on NASCAR racing in the Chicago market with online advertising on sites such as XFINITY.com, Fandango, and Movies.com, plus a dedicated Joliet page on SummerFunChicago.com and a promotional “Viking experience” event. The effort generated more than 26,000 online video views and nearly 5,000 minutes of video watched, helping increase exposure for the city and its tourism offerings.
