A Comcast Spotlight Case Study
Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission (CCPRC), a Charleston-based travel and tourism operator running three waterparks, wanted to boost summer attendance and food concession sales during an 11-week campaign. To help meet its goals, CCPRC partnered with Comcast Spotlight on a multi-screen advertising effort designed to attract both local families and visitors.
Comcast Spotlight created a campaign using TV spots on family-friendly networks such as ABC Family, Cartoon Network, and Nickelodeon, plus digital video advertising on XFINITY.com. The ads featured popular Nickelodeon characters and park attractions to draw families in, and the results exceeded expectations: attendance rose 49% against a 25% goal, and food concession revenue increased 74% versus a 35% target.
