A Comcast Business Case Study
Seattle-based Sound Oxygen Service, founded in 2003, is the largest independently owned provider of respiratory equipment in Washington, with 12 offices, 100 employees and more than 6,000 patients. Rapid growth left the company managing multiple regional voice and Internet vendors and relying on slow legacy T1 lines (1.5 Mbps), which caused poor call handling, limited data capacity and difficulty maintaining reliable service for patients.
Sound Oxygen standardized on Comcast Business VoiceEdgeâ„¢ and 100 Mbps Ethernet Dedicated Internet, deploying cloud-based telephony across offices and remote staff and dedicated high-speed Internet at each location. The result was reliable 100 Mbps connectivity and cloud voice services (central auto attendant, mobile app, dedicated voice lines), a move to Office 365 and other cloud systems, simplified vendor management, increased operational efficiency and improved patient responsiveness.
