Saint Elizabeth High School Creates Immersive Digital Learning Environment with “Bring Your Own Device” Initiative and Comcast Business Ethernet

St. Elizabeth High School, a private co-ed Catholic college-preparatory in Wilmington, DE, sought to modernize its curriculum and reduce rising textbook costs by launching a mandatory 1:1 BYOD program. The school needed a fast, scalable Internet connection to support hundreds of students using tablets and cloud-based textbooks simultaneously.

SEHS deployed Comcast Business Ethernet Dedicated Internet (50 Mbps) and Comcast Business PRI trunks to provide the necessary bandwidth and reliable voice service. The upgrade delivered up to 300% faster Internet, supported widespread BYOD participation, enabled 95% of textbooks to move to the cloud, and allowed the school to roll out productivity and course apps to students.
