Middlesex Regional Educational Services Commission Helps New Jersey Schools Embrace Digital Education with Comcast Business Ethernet

The Middlesex Regional Educational Services Commission (MRESC) is a state‑chartered consortium that provides education and technology services to New Jersey K‑12 schools. Facing a surge in BYOD, 1:1 device programs and online assessments, many member districts lacked cost‑effective, scalable Internet capacity and found the E‑Rate procurement process cumbersome, so MRESC sought a coordinated solution to future‑proof connectivity across districts.

Working with Dellicker Strategies, MRESC brokered Ethernet Dedicated Internet and Ethernet Network Services from Comcast Business for more than 75 schools, with speeds ranging from 10 Mbps to 10 Gbps (average ~1 Gbps). The deployment delivered scalable, high‑performance bandwidth for online testing, Wi‑Fi backbones and secure inter‑school networking, gave districts 3–4x more bandwidth for similar costs, and provided access to a nationwide fiber network to support future digital learning initiatives.
