Mass Health Data Depends on Comcast For Fast Web Collaboration

The Massachusetts Health Data Consortium, a Waltham-based nonprofit that runs healthcare IT conferences and sells hospital discharge data, faced slow, unreliable Internet that blocked media-rich website updates and large file transfers — so much so that staff and even the CEO resorted to coffee-shop Wi‑Fi to get work done.

The consortium deployed Comcast Business Internet (22/5 Mbps) and right-sized Comcast Business Trunks, enabling cloud-hosted email, document sharing, and offsite backups; dramatically faster uploads/downloads; higher conference marketing and attendance; improved remote work and employee productivity; and substantial cost savings (about half the previous cost and avoiding a roughly $30,000 server investment).
