A Comcast Business Case Study
The Jefferson County Port Authority in Steubenville, Ohio — the county’s economic development engine — set out to modernize its 88-acre industrial park after tenants that once relied on dial-up needed contemporary communications to grow and new prospects demanded reliable broadband. With competition for tenants high, the Port Authority identified upgrading data, voice and video infrastructure as critical to attracting investment and supporting local businesses.
Comcast Business invested in a fiber build-out and delivered Ethernet, high-performance Internet, Voice and TV services, offering scalable bandwidth (2 Mbps to 10 Gbps) and enterprise features. The upgrade eliminated slow downloads and poor call quality, enabled bandwidth‑intensive work like large file transfers and streaming, extended service to adjacent properties, and positioned the park as a 21st‑century site that can attract new tenants and support future job growth.
