Case Study: Host.net attracts and retains new customers with Comcast Business Ethernet

A Comcast Business Case Study

Preview of the Host.net Case Study

Host.net Provides Multi-Gigabit Connectivity Options with Comcast Business Ethernet

Host.net, a Boca Raton–based colocation, cloud and managed infrastructure provider with two enterprise-class data centers in South Florida (and a colocation suite in Atlanta), serves customers across regulated industries and holds HIPAA, PCI DSS Level 1 and SOC 2 certifications. As clients virtualized and adopted bandwidth‑intensive applications, Host.net began losing business because it lacked a competitive, high‑performance Ethernet option—one customer, Behavioral Health of the Palm Beaches, suffered latency and poor video performance on a legacy telco link.

By adding Comcast Business Ethernet Private Line and Ethernet Virtual Private Line, Host.net introduced fiber‑based, multi‑gigabit connectivity that is scalable and supports bandwidth‑heavy applications. The new services eliminated video delays, delivered a 10× bandwidth increase for Behavioral Health (from 10 Mbps to 100 Mbps), improved customer value, and helped Host.net attract and retain more clients.
