A Comcast Business Case Study
Boathouse Row is an iconic Philadelphia landmark that has housed 11 rowing clubs since 1858 and attracts thousands of athletes each year. Its 19th‑century buildings and waterfront location made it difficult for providers to deliver reliable Internet—local ordinances and distance from major infrastructure meant members often had to leave the site to connect.
Comcast Business built out network access and deployed Internet, indoor/outdoor WiFi (including XFINITY® WiFi), Business Phone and TV services to the boathouses. As a result, members stay on site longer and clubs capture more revenue while offering new Internet‑driven services—live training, online boat check‑out, video surveillance and faster member inquiries—without altering the historic buildings.
