Comcast Solutions Support Streaming Video and Cloud Computing in Suburban Chicago School Districts

Arlington Heights School District 25 (serving more than 5,000 elementary and middle school students) and Township High School District 214 (about 12,300 students, the state’s second-largest high school district) faced unreliable, low-bandwidth networks across multiple facilities that couldn’t support streaming video, media‑rich educational applications, segmented voice/video/data, secure connections, fast backups, or cloud collaboration.

Both districts deployed Comcast Business Ethernet Network Service and Comcast Business Ethernet Dedicated Internet Service to link their sites (11 locations for District 25 and seven for District 214), providing scalable, secure, high‑speed connectivity. The upgrade improved curriculum delivery and streaming, halved backup times, enabled cloud collaboration and IP video security, and produced substantial cost savings (District 25’s cost per megabit dropped from $117.33 to $6.50 and District 214 reported more than $400,000 in annual savings).
