Comcast Business Ethernet Supports Educational Excellence at Chase Collegiate

Chase Collegiate School is a 150-year-old non-denominational private day school in Waterbury, Connecticut, serving 458 students on a 47-acre campus. Facing the dual challenge of integrating transformative, device-driven learning across pre-K–12 classrooms while stretching limited budgets, the school needed reliable, high-volume, scalable bandwidth to support BYOT, streaming, cloud-based back-office systems, and extensive parent/student online portals.

Chase moved to Comcast Business Ethernet for dedicated, scalable bandwidth — growing from 10 Mbps to 20 Mbps with plans for 50 Mbps — which reliably supports streaming video, digital blackboards, video conferencing and other Web 2.0 tools. The single-provider solution reduced outage ambiguity, lowered costs by removing a reseller middleman, and enabled new teaching models (including a flipped-classroom approach), expanding learning opportunities while keeping expenses manageable.
