Atlantic Cape Community College Connects Multiple Campuses with Comcast Business Ethernet Delivered Over Fiber

Atlantic Cape Community College, a two-year school serving more than 7,000 students across three campuses in Atlantic and Cape May counties, relied on its wide area network and cloud-based tools (like Google Apps for Education) to connect students, faculty and staff. The college was frustrated by slow, inconsistent Internet service from its prior provider and needed a fast, reliable, and easily scalable fiber-based connection to support a planned WiFi expansion, growing numbers of devices, and new learning applications.

Comcast Business upgraded the college’s Ethernet Private Lines between campuses and installed Ethernet Dedicated Internet over fiber to the main campus, delivering a significant capacity increase over the previous 20 Mbps link and seamless, on-demand scaling. The result was faster, more reliable campus-wide connectivity, continuous access to cloud resources, support for live-streamed classes (such as nursing), and the flexibility to expand academic services while keeping costs manageable.
