Unilever, a global FMCG leader operating in Russia and Ukraine, faced rapidly growing volumes of production and imports that strained its paper-based partner communications, order handling and warehouse processes. To streamline cooperation with retail chains and logistics operators, Unilever partnered with Comarch and adopted the Comarch EDI platform (via AS2), including Comarch EDI WEB and ERP-integrated web-portal functions to handle ORDER, ORDRSP, DESADV, INVOIC and other document types.

Comarch implemented an integrated EDI solution with ERP integration and a web portal for distributors and logistics partners, automating document exchange and order management. As a result, Comarch enabled Unilever to process over 80% of orders electronically, cut time spent preparing documents, free staff for other tasks, reduce incomplete deliveries, optimize inventory and lower costs related to paper transfer and storage.
