A Comarch Case Study
Thomas Cook Group Plc, a long-established global travel company, needed to streamline and regain control of its IT operations — cutting ongoing operations costs, moving capabilities from offshore to near‑shore/on‑shore, and transitioning data‑centre and service management away from a single outsourcer toward a multi‑sourcing model. To achieve this, Thomas Cook engaged Comarch for outsourcing, nearshoring and resource augmentation services focused on data centre, network/telephony and service‑management operations.
Comarch embedded skilled engineers and analysts into Thomas Cook’s IT team, managed the data‑centre cutover from the previous provider, led structured knowledge transfer and took on ongoing operations support and monitoring. As a result, Comarch delivered a significant reduction in ongoing operations costs, augmented service‑management and network/telephony resources, enabled operational independence through documented knowledge transfer, and supported the move to a multi‑sourcing model.
