Raiffeisen Bank Polska S.A. faced a growing volume of trade finance business (around 300 guarantees per month in 2009) and an overwhelming amount of paper-based approvals and documentation for guarantees and letters of credit. The manual, time-consuming process delayed issuances and strained both the bank and its corporate clients, so Raiffeisen sought a modern, digitized solution to streamline internal workflows and customer access.

Comarch delivered the Trade finance module of Comarch Corporate Banking, including the Guarantees Online tool, and integrated it with Raiffeisen’s corporate banking for 24/7 access and email status notifications. Comarch’s solution cut average guarantee issuance from about two working days to several hours, increased issued guarantees by 24% and related profits by 23%, and enabled corporates to request and track guarantees and LCs online with far less paperwork.
