A Comarch Case Study
Leroy Merlin, a major GROUPE ADEO retailer operating dozens of large stores in Poland, needed to streamline goods reception and reduce document errors across a high-volume supplier network. To address DESADV (dispatch advice) and SSCC (serial shipping container code) requirements and to better support suppliers, Leroy Merlin partnered with Comarch and extended the Comarch EDI platform, including the Comarch EDI Web supplier interface.
Comarch implemented automated DESADV generation, SSCC-based logistic unit management, order-line packing, document validation, label printing from the web app, EDI archiving and tracking, plus supplier guides and HelpDesk support. As a result, Comarch helped Leroy Merlin cut first-delivery control time by 25 minutes, reduce administrative work by 15–35 minutes per delivery, achieve ROI in 4–6 months, improve label scan rates and discrepancy identification, support ~200,000 documents/month with 700 suppliers, and save over one ton of paper in year one.
