Italcementi, a long-established Italian leader in construction materials, needed to comply with 2019 regulations requiring electronic invoices to private entities and wanted to bring other document flows into Italy’s Sistema di Interscambio (SDI). To digitize and standardize its invoicing and document-management processes, Italcementi partnered with Comarch and deployed Comarch E-Invoicing.

Comarch implemented a solution including e-archiving, document validation, format conversion, multichannel distribution, advanced OCR and AI/ML, mapping SDI invoices to Italcementi’s ERP and automatically importing data from scanned and digital invoices. The Comarch platform centralized and harmonized document exchange, provided instant access to business-critical information, cut costs and processing time, reduced human errors and minimized the need for manual intervention.
